Dale Mabry Hwy in Tampa on February 25, 2020.<\/p>\n<p>Jimenez purchased multiple food items including an apple pie. When she bit into the pie, the plaintiff allegedly suffered immediate second-degree burns on her chest, a first-degree burn in her mouth and scalding on her fingers, requiring a visit to the emergency room.<\/p>\n<p>Checkers is sued for negligence, strict liability and breach of warranty.
